
LAKEPORT >> Two Lakeport men were arrested on marijuana cultivation and sales charges Tuesday.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) detectives served a search warrant to Wade Aaron Knowles, 44, and Aldo Clolosardo, 65, were at a home in the 4,000 block of Eickhoff Road in Lakeport, according to LCSO Lt. Steve Brooks. During the search detectives reportedly noticed one of the bedrooms had been converted into a marijuana drying and processing area.
There were several hanging marijuana plants inside the room, Brooks stated
Additionally, detectives allegedly found a vacuum sealer and packaging material inside the bedroom closet and kitchen, according to Brooks. Several plastic bins containing marijuana shake were also found in the kitchen.
The LCSO detectives also reportedly found evidence that Knowles was allegedly mailing marijuana to the east coast, Brooks stated.
A total of 8.5 ounces of concentrated cannabis, as well as a cellphone with alleged text messages related to the sales of narcotics, were reportedly found, according to Brooks. Furthermore, detectives reportedly found two large, hoop-style greenhouses containing marijuana plants and several marijuana plants growing outside, Brooks stated. Detectives found and destroyed a total of 85 marijuana plants.
Three pounds of processed marijuana and 23 pounds of marijuana, which was unprocessed and still on the stem, were reportedly seized, Brooks stated.
Knowles and Clolosardo were arrested on charges of cultivating marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale, Brooks said. They were transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked.
