MIDDLETOWN >> The South Lake County Fire Protection will promote volunteers, graduate new firefighters and recognize scholarship recipients tonight.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Middletown fire station.
Four volunteers will be promoted from firefighters to operators, seven new volunteers will be promoted to firefighters and two Middletown High School students who each received $500 will be recognized.
Additionally, the Annual Volunteer Firefighter Dinner Auction Fundraiser will be held on Friday at the smoke-free Twin Pine Event Center from 5 to 10 p.m. Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased by calling 987-3089 ext 5. The fire station is located at 21095 Highway 175 in Middletown.
