STAFF REPORTS KELSEYVILLE >> A truck drifted into a ditch near Kit”s Corner Friday night.
A woman traveling toward Kit”s Corner on Red Hills Road reportedly took her eyes off the road while reaching for a water bottle and drifted into a ditch about 9:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
She was driving a Ford Explorer and was the vehicle”s only occupant. The force of the crash reportedly spun the Ford Explorer 180 degrees and left it facing the other way while causing major damage.
The woman sustained only minor injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be factors in the incident, according to CHP.
