LAKE COUNTY >> More than 25 Lake County wineries will open their doors to welcome adventurers for the 10th annual Lake County Wine Adventure on July 26 and 27.

Attendees start at one of seven host wineries, where they will receive a wrist band, a wine glass with special keepsake wine charm, a four-bottle wine bag and a passport map.

The passport will admit each adventurer to all of the participating wineries for wine, food and fun, according to Lake County Winery Association (LCWA) Executive Director Terry Dereniuk.

To celebrate the 10th year of the two-day passport event, many wineries will have local art on display along with music and food pairings, Dereniuk added.

The LCWA sponsors the event annually. A wine chest full of Lake County wines will be raffled and proceeds will be donated to the Relay for Life of Lake County.

New features include mini-adventures, suggestions of wineries that are grouped together and an option to pick up passports on Friday at Twin Pine Casino in Middletown.

Tickets for the Wine Adventure cost $45 and can be purchased online or the following wineries:

Brassfield Estate Winery, Ceago Vinegarden, Chacewater Winery and Olive Mill, Langtry Estate and Vineyards, Six Sigma Ranch and Vineyard, Steele Wines, Twin Pines “Off the Vine” gift shop, Upper Lake Wine Studio and Wildhurst Vineyards and Tasting Room.

The Wine Adventure takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Participants must be 21 or older. Designated drivers are encouraged and can attend free-of-charge.
