LAKEPORT >> Boys and girls, between the ages of 3 and 8, are invited to compete for the title of Cutest Cowpoke at the 85th annual Lake County Rodeo.
The competition will take place between 6 and 7 p.m. on July 11 at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Children are encouraged to dress rodeo style; no live props will be allowed. The winning boy and girl will each be awarded with a silver buckle, sponsored by the Clear Lake Junior Horsemen and the Scotts Valley 4-H Swine group.
The deadline to enter is July 11 at 5:30 p.m. All participants should arrive at the rodeo no later than 5:15 p.m. to check in. Admission to the rodeo for children 12 and younger is free-of-charge with a paid adult admission. There is no contest entry fee.
