LAKEPORT >> The Lake County Arts Council”s Main Street Gallery will host its First Friday Fling on Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The reception will celebrate “Summer in Lake County” as a theme show with artists displaying work in various mediums representing their expressions of summer.
The main gallery will also feature new work from seven artists: Linda Becker”s detailed work of birds and portraits in colored pencil; Diana Liebe”s watercolors; Linda Kelly”s and Leah Adams” gourd creations; Ray Farrow”s brilliantly colored work in alkyds; Dennis Robison”s mix of subject matter in pastels; Evelyn Robinson”s pastel work featuring animals and Bruce Vandrais with his style of work in pastels.
Also continuing in the July show are jewelry designs by Wine County Creations; Lucy Murphy with bead weaving and embroidery; fused glass wearable art by Lois; the collective work by the artists in Creative Gatherings; wildlife photography on canvas by Faith Rigalosi and Jim Shipley; Pat Courtney”s paintings of birds in acrylic and Goche and Richard Schmidt, Toni Hyden and Diana Liebe contribute with their work in pastels and watercolor.
Some of the artists will be on hand to discuss their work. Don Angel Cellars wine will be offered during the event and Paul Farley will play classical guitar.
