More control
burns needed
Open Letter to Cal Fire, California Division of Forestry.
I have a specific question for Cal Fire and or California Division of Forestry. I would like to know when was the last time that we had any type of control burn in the Southern Counties, such as Ventura County, Los Angeles County, etc.? In California we cannot burn anything or cut down trees, we just leave fire fuel that is all dry and we use it for fueling our fires in the summertime. I feel we should have control burns of some type because of the cost of losing homes to the burns, the cost of putting out the fires when we can control burn and eliminate most of the fire fuel to keep the wild fires from getting out of hand ?that is what the control burn is supposed to do.
Just a person”s questions looking for a professional answer. Could you please answer me in letters to the editor so all the people of California could get the same answer.
