LAKEPORT >> The Lake County Arts Council and the Lakeport Main Street Gallery announced that Judy Cardinale has stepped down as gallery coordinator and the position was filled by Richard Seisser on July 1.
The gallery coordinator is responsible for acquiring and scheduling new artwork for the gallery to exhibit. Each month, a new exhibit is revealed to the public at the First Friday Fling, a monthly reception held at the gallery on the first Friday of the month from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
“We will be forever grateful to Judy for her dedication and creativity,” Shelby Posada, executive director of the Lake County Arts Council, stated. “She has truly enriched the Main Street Gallery with both her artwork and her ideas. It is difficult to imagine anyone filling Judy”s shoes, but if anyone can, it is Richard.”
Seisser, an artist and instructor, has been involved with the Main Street Gallery for years.
“His pastels and watercolors, as well as the classes he teaches, are all favorites of Main Street Gallery patrons,” committee member Barbara Lee stated. Seisser”s contributions to the Lake County Arts Council”s newsletter “Art Notes,” give fellow members both technical and creative insight from a professional artist. Recently, Seisser”s work was published in “Pastel Journal,” a worldwide art publication.
