LAKEPORT >> Sheriff”s narcotics officers arrested a Lakeport man Tuesday morning on drug charges and seized more than four ounces of methamphetamine.

Kory Daniel Hudson, 34, was arrested shortly after 10 a.m. when Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) narcotics detectives were conducting a probation search, LCSO Public Information Officer Lt. Steve Brooks stated in a press release Tuesday afternoon. The detectives reportedly noticed a gold Chevrolet pickup parked on an unspecified street and contacted Hudson, who was in the vehicle.

While detectives were talking to Hudson, they reportedly noticed he was displaying signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance, Brooks stated. They asked Hudson to exit the vehicle and performed several tests and determined he was under the influence.

Hudson was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to Brooks.

During a search, detectives allegedly found two plastic bags containing methamphetamine in Hudson”s possession, which together weighed 123.8 grams or 4.36 ounces, Brooks stated.

Hudson was also charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale and transportation of a controlled substance, according to Brooks. He was transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked. His bail was set at $35,000.
