LAKEPORT >> Weird Animals Vacation Bible School, a summer children”s event, will be hosted at United Christian Parish from Monday through Friday with a performance held July 27 for those who choose to participate.
At Weird Animals, children will be taught about some diverse and creative animal and participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, experience Bible adventures and participate in science-related activities.
Children will also construct a food tower throughout the week to help stock food pantries, as well as be invited to bring their coins to take an offering each day to buy shoe vouchers for less-fortunate children in Lake County.
Weird Animals is open to children in kindergarten through high school and will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Each day concludes with “The Tail End,” an activity that family members and friends are encouraged to participate in, at 11:45 a.m.
A $10 donation per family is encouraged to attend the bible school but is not required.
