LAKEPORT >> The Lake County Democratic Central Committee (LCDCC) will hold its monthly meeting on Aug. 6 at the Lake County Tax Services office at 6 p.m.
The meeting will not be held on the first Thursday of the month as usual as Mike McGuire and Mariko Yamada are holding a town hall meeting in Library Park on Aug. 7.
During the meeting, members will be working on organizing its booth for the Lake County Fair, opening a United Democratic Campaign headquarters, organizing its barbecue fundraiser to be held Oct. 5 and electing a vice-chair person for the LCDCC.
The agenda for the meeting also includes reports from representatives for congressmen Mike Thompson and John Garamendi, Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada and State Sen. Noreen Evans, as well as reports from the Stonewall Democratic Club Chair, Essie Coons, and representative from the Lake County Democratic Club Paula Mune.
Meetings are open to the public and committee membership is open to all registered Democrats.
The LCDCC is the official governing body of the Democratic Party in Lake County, according to member William Manners.
