LAKEPORT >> The Hot August Nites dinner/dance and car show will take place Aug. 15 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Lakeport Senior Activity Center.
Doors to the all-age event open at 4 p.m. featuring live entertainment and a line-dance demonstration. Dancing starts at 5 p.m. with music provided by the LC Diamonds.
Dinner will feature doo-wop diner burgers, fries and drinks. Milkshakes will be available for purchase from the Lakeport Lion”s Club and a full bar will also be available.
The event will also feature a souvenir photo booth, silent auction, raffle and door prizes.
Tickets cost $15 and are available at the Meals On Wheels Thrift Store in Lakeport and at the center. Participants will receive a drink free-of-charge with any pre-purchased ticket. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Meals-On-Wheels program that serves Lakeport and Kelseyville.
