CLEARLAKE >> The Second Sunday Cinema will screen “La Bestia” on Sunday at the Clearlake United Methodist Church.
The film follows the journey Central American children make through Mexico on the back of trains in their search of safety.
“These children reflect lives that are beyond our understanding – lives full of experiences that we can not fathom nor relate to but they reflect so many gifts, so many funds of knowledge, so much determination, so many important values and such strong character,” teacher Ellen Riojas Clark said of the film.
The screening is free-of-charge. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. and the film will begin at 6 p.m.
Clearlake United Methodist Church is located at 14521 Pearl Ave. in Clearlake.
