LUCERNE >> Lucerne Alpine Senior Center will host its monthly gathering of north shore poets and songwriters on Aug. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m.
All poets and songwriters from Lake County are welcome to the free-of-charge event. Attendees will have the opportunity to read or sing and can bring their instruments. Coffee, tea and refreshments will be provided and people can also bring other snacks to share. For information, call Lucerne Alpine Senior Center at 274-8779.
Lucerne Alpine Senior Center is a nonprofit that serves north shore senior populations with on-site lunches, Meals on Wheels and advocacy.
The center is located at 3985 Country Club Drive in Lucerne.
