KELSEYVILLE >> Chris Emberson homered while Kurtis Woodard and Matt Smith both went 3-for-3 on Wednesday evening as Racks & Tracks beat AB Carpet 9-4 in the first game of the best-of-three B-1 men”s softball championship series at Lakeside County Park.
Game two is scheduled for Monday night at 6:30 p.m. on Field B.
Winning pitcher Heath Fifield went the distance and struck out one while keeping AB Carpet”s bats in check.
John Drewery went 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI for Racks and Tracks, which is trying to unseat the four-time defending B-1 champs. Woodard also had a double.
Jesse Bussard went 3-for-3, including a two-run home run, for AB Carpet. Other leaders were Brian Figg and Mike Ballentine with two hits apiece.
