MENDOCINO COUNTY >> The 87th annual Mendocino County Fair and Apple Show will be held from 9 a.m. to midnight Sept. 12 through Sept. 14 at the Boonville Fairgrounds. The fair will include an open horse show, the Apple Cup Varsity Soccer game, the Apple Bowl Football game, a classic car show, apple and wine and cider tasting. A parade will also take place on Sept. 14 at noon.
Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for teens 13 to 18, $6 for children 7 to 12 and children younger than 6 will be admitted free-of-charge. On Sept. 12, seniors 65 and older and children 12 and younger will be admitted free-of-charge. On Sept. 13, the first 100 adults entering the fair at noon will receive free-of-charge admission. Three-day passes for seniors cost $15 when purchased in advance.
Parking costs $5. Tickets for unlimited rides cost $20 with advanced purchase and $30 at the gate.
