KELSEYVILLE >> Friends of Clear Lake State Park (CLSPIA) will host a celebration for the 150th anniversary of the park system on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The public is invited to attend. Families are welcome to bring and enjoy a picnic lunch, spend time in the visitor center to learn more about Lake County history or take the children on a self-guided nature walk. Free-of-charge s”mores, fruit, water and lemonade will be available for all.

Attendees can browse the health and wellness booths staffed by local businesses and listen to the music of David Neft.

“Join us for a few hours or for the day, and experience the beauty of Clear Lake State Park,” Jennifer Ayala stated.

Admission to the park will be free-of-charge for the event.

“If visiting this jewel of Lake County that is right in our midst has been on your list of things to do — August 23 is your chance,” Ayala stated.
