MIDDLETOWN >> Plans for the expansion of the Life Center health food store in Middletown have come to a sudden halt and owner Logan Rose is reaching out to the community for solutions with a meeting to be held Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the store.
The Life Center offers bulk foods, super foods, snacks and drinks and the expansion into the space next door was intended to be a gallery, cafe and community event space called the Life Gallery. The space”s architectural plans had been completed and permits were obtained. However, while the gallery was ready for construction, a recent house fire caused funding for those plans to fall through.
The community is invited to attend the meeting where people will be brainstorming ideas for how to finish and open the gallery and cafe space.
