KELSEYVILLE >> A class on how to make torch-fired enamel charms lead by Kim Costa and Justin Gessler will be held Aug. 23 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the Riveria Community Association building.
Participants will learn how to make colorful enameled charms using a torch and the sifting method.
The class is for beginners but primarily geared toward students who have their own micro-torch, enamel powders, copper shapes and other tools. A couple of torches will be available for people who don”t have their own supplies to use. However, if a prospective attendee doesn”t have their own tools, they should contact Costa to ensure the tools are still available to borrow. Additionally, a limited amount of cooper shapes for enameling and enamel powders will be available for purchase for use in class.
