For the last two months I”ve been paying attention to the panhandlers in the Safeway parking lot. Its one thing to be hard up, needing some food or shelter, or simply needing a few bucks for a beer. Whatever. But to show up day after day after day, with the same sign, is disrespectful. There”s one in particular.

I”ve seen her dozens of times, showing up between 6 and 9 a.m., parking her lifted Chevy Tahoe with off-road tires and customized parts all over and getting out on the corner begging for money.

Can”t we do something about this? Its ridiculous. The nerve of this lady to pull on the people”s sympathy nerve, all the while not trying to help herself at all. She might say she”s disabled, but if you saw how she gets into and out of that big truck, you”d see different. As a disabled war veteran, I take great offense to this. She”s making a mockery of all disabilities and playing you all for fools.

I can”t be the only one who notices that its the same people day after day. Doing the same thing. Trying to get you to give up your money because they”re lazy.
