Fire crews from multiple agencies contained a roadside blaze to about 2 acres Friday afternoon in Kelseyville. The fire was reported shortly after 5 p.m. at Kelsey Creek Drive. It was contained within about 15 to 20 minutes, according to Kelseyville Fire Protection District (KFPD) Cpt. Jim Dowdy. KFPD responded with two engines, CAL FIRE responded with two engines and a battalion chief and the Lakeport Fire Protection District was also at the scene with a chief, Dowday said. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation. Dowdy estimated fire personnel would complete cleanup within one to two hours.
