My brother and I have a house in Lakeport and I was surprised to find a ”Save the Lake” sign in the front yard this week. As no one had asked me if they could post the sign, I checked with my brother and his wife who live there and learned that no one had ever contacted them for permission to post the sign either. I am now wondering how many of the ”Save the Lake” signs I see throughout the county have also been randomly placed without any permission or respect for personal property rights.
I did not vote for Proposition L in the June election and after reading the ”re-try” measure now called Proposition S, I am voting NO again. There are flaws in the math, implementation and mostly the source of revenue. No new taxes!
Join me in voting No on Measure S, not just in opposition to the proposed tax increase, but, because I now question the integrity of the people behind the measure. Oh, and don”t worry about your sign, I have it and will put it to good use.
