When the cops come to your home do not open your door! Ask for their warrant!
If they have a warrant ask them to pass it through the windows and read it well. Make sure it”s the correct address and name if there is any mistakes on the warrant keep the warrant and tell them to leave your property. Before invoking your right to remain silent ask the officers for their names and police badge numbers then demand them to leave your property.
Under no circumstances do you open your door. And if you have any dogs don”t let them outside of your home. If you have a lawyer call him ASAP. Under no circumstances let yourself get entangled in and argument with the trespassers.
Know your rights and invoke them.
Now if you have a camera film the entire event and if they leave tell the dispatcher and in the morning go directly to the proper authorities and demand a police report be filled out and using the “freedom of information act” demand a copy of their incident report of the night before. This report should contain names of all officers that trespassed on your property. Protect your family rights and your property rights against home invasions with a NO TRESPASSING sign.
