As many of you are aware, a devastating fire occurred on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. As a result of a drunk driver running into a ditch a 100 acre fire was sparked. From this fire Leslie Humphrey, whose property is on the other side of the ditch, lost everything.
I drove by her property on Sunday and saw nothing but gray ash over her entire property. There was no evidence of the house, garage, greenhouse, chicken coop, and several raised garden beds which once stood on the property.
Several people had inquired via Facebook if an account had been setup for Leslie where they can make donations. If you have not yet driven past Leslie”s property on Highway 20, the website has a picture showing the destruction this senseless accident caused.
I hope everyone will join me in helping Leslie on her long road to recovery.
