A word on deadlines — Just a friendly reminder to soccer and volleyball coaches that we can”t except any calls after 9:30 p.m. because of our deadlines. If you”re on the road for a game/match, please call from the road and not when you arrive home, which is often too late to make the print edition. If you don”t mind missing the print edition, call as late as you want ? but we won”t be answering after 9:30 p.m.

So what if he doesn”t play for Mendocino? — Fort Bragg quarterback Kaylor Sullivan. Fort Bragg coach Roy Perkins can explain.
