On Tuesday, September 9th, a letter from Jaxan Christensen of Upper Lake was published in the Record-Bee concerning the Measure S, Save the Lake Committee. Ms. Christensen criticized the Measure S Committee members, questioning the integrity of the committee members and supporters. It seems she and her brother own a property in Lakeport in which her brother resides. There was a Save the Lake sign in the yard which neither of them had given permission for the sign to be placed.
Upon reading the letter, I placed a phone call that I would try to determine who might have placed the sign.
I have known Jaxan for several years and have to say that I have usually agreed with her letters to the editor, but she is way off base on this letter. I invite her to come to one of our committee meetings to see if we can address her questions and concerns. We will be very pleased to share information with her and anyone else who questions the Measure.
I invite the public to look for announcements of coming public meetings for Measure S, attend them, ask questions, get information first hand.
