LAKEPORT >> Lakeport Library is presenting a series of classes, “Hand Sewing for Beginners,” each Wednesday in October at 5:30 p.m.
All supplies will be provided for the free-of-charge, hour-long classes. Registration is required.
Each lesson will be a step toward creating a custom-made bookmark.
On Oct. 1, Barbara Green will teach hemming and on Oct. 15 she will teach sewing on buttons.
On Oct. 8 Amy Patton will teach embroidery and on Oct. 22 she will teach how to make buttonholes.
On Oct. 29 Patton and Green will collaborate on teaching a craft project.
Lakeport Library, located at 1425 N. High St., is open Tuesday,Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The phone number is 263-8817.
