ROHNERT PARK >> Goals from Karina Salmeron, Hailey Smith and Nicole Duncan powered the Clear Lake High School junior varsity girls” soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Credo High School on Monday in Rohnert Park.
Salmeron”s goal gave Clear Lake a 1-0 halftime lead.
“The girls played very well, moving the ball into the final third with plenty of shots on goal,” Clear Lake coach Tommy Burke said. “We”re just having troubles finding the back of the net.”
Standouts for the Cardinals, according to Burke, were fullback Jordan Zabek and wing Hallie Holmes.
Clear Lake hosts the Fort Bragg JVs today at 4 p.m.
