LOWER LAKE >> The Time Bank of Thrive Lake County will hold a pizza fundraiser at DJ”s Pizza on Oct. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The funds raised will be used to help increase awareness of the time bank.
Time banking is a community currency based on hours where members exchange time instead of money. Every hour earned is equal without regard to the service provided. The Time Bank is open to any Lake County resident, business or organization.
“If you”re not a time bank member yet, come on down and find out about time banking and meet those who are already benefiting from this complimentary currency of time,” Carol Cole-Lewis, of the time bank, stated. “If you are a time bank member, meet other time bank members and find others you can get and give services to.”
There will also be bakery items for sale at the event, which is open to the public.
Pre-sale tickets and additional information can be requested by calling 413-0220.
