In reference to Cynthia Tucker”s Saturday, Sept 20th commentary, Obamacare is not the

Disaster it was Predicted to be;

In lieu of patriotic debate, Cynthia applauded the tactics used by the Obama administration, to allow the federal government to control one sixth of the U.S. economy by allowing healthcare lobbyist to hastily draft a seemingly tentative piece of writing dubbed the “Affordable Care Act” or ACA.

Knowing the past failure of the Clinton administration”s effort to socialize the nations healthcare system, the President knew his only chance to advance his political ambition and legacy was during his first two years in office with the Democratic party in control of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. With all the political cover provided by the liberal media and a guaranteed party line vote in the senate and congress, the ill-conceived ACA law was passed without one single Republican vote.

Patriotic Americans must now abysmally watch as all Americans, in time, are funneled into a government controlled (think single payer) healthcare system that contains many untested components, a law that Nancy Pelosi, then majority leader of the House of Representatives, was quoted as saying “we have to pass it, so we can see what”s in it”.

Uhh what?? Did she really?

During congressional debate, some Republican obstructionists within the party gave credence to Cynthia”s articulation of political divisional tactics of demonization and demagoguery of opposition to ACA law. She concludes in her commentary by celebrating the fact that “the ACA has not been anything close to the political disaster for Democrats that Republicans had hoped for. “Sometimes, good deeds go unpunished.”

While we patriots and reasonable citizens from both parties watch Cynthia take her victory lap, we wonder in awe at what cost to the unity of the nation and the precedence being established by the Obama administration”s lawless abuse of the U.S. Constitution by changing the law at will, without congressional debate or approval. Article 2, section 3 of the Constitution, of which the president took the oath to uphold, states that “he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”

To paraphrase Dr. Ben Carson, retired physician, patriot and author of New York Times best selling book titled “One Nation,” Ben states “the very fact that everyone is looking for exclusions (from the ACA) so they don”t have to participate right away should be a red flag to any objective observer.” And how right he was!

Since the ACA law was passed, the president, members of the senate and congress and some 1,200 unions and government employee associations and their families have been granted exclusions from the law.

How and why? Let”s ponder.

Since President Obama has the propensity to cultivate and retain dependable voting blocs (and he may be the best ever), the answer is obvious. But, should forcing Americans into socialized medicine while excluding others be considered a “good deed and go unpunished” as Cynthia suggests?

That”s for all Americans to decide in November at the ballot box.
