CLEARLAKE >> To celebrate the 50th anniversary of California Poets in the Schools (CPITS), Redbud Library will host Michele Krueger, a published poet and Lake County”s coordinator for CPITS, on Oct. 1 at 4 p.m.
School-age children are invited to the free-of-charge program, which will feature readings by children.
CPITS says that it has been “inspiring children”s imaginations since 1964. CPITS is one of the nation”s largest literary artists-in-schools programs, cultivating children”s creativity through poetry writing and performance.”
