Now that our Governor has signed a bill granting Hollywood a gazillion dollars in tax breaks, perhaps Lake County can cash in.
All we need to do is convince a producer to film a television series focusing on Lake County”s battle against marijuana cultivation.
The (fictional, of course) show could start with the brave exploits of code enforcement officers entering and searching the “perp”s” property, armed only with their trusty ticket books. We follow the case through arrest, seizure, asset forfeiture and, finally, trial. This, combined with an undercurrent of discord between a politically motivated D.A. and a trigger-happy sheriff, could make it a blockbuster!
They could call it “Law and Odor”.
