LAKEPORT >> The Mendo-Lake Singers invite women, 18 or older, to join the chorus this holiday season and learn to sing Christmas carols in four-part harmony.

Participants do not have to know how to read music to learn the songs, as several of the songs have learning CDs to go with the sheet music.

There is no cost to join and learn to sing Christmas songs.

The Mendo-Lake Singers put on a free-of-charge Christmas program for friends and family the week before Christmas. They are part of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization with choruses throughout the United States and the globe. All choruses sing music a cappella, in four-part barbershop harmony style.

The singers meet every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Four Square Church.
