Currently we are dealing with a controversial issue on gun control in America. This should not be an issue at all considering the second amendment in the United States Constitution states “the right of the people to keep and bear arms,” but most importantly “shall not be infringed.” Taking citizens” rights away to have a gun would be unlawful.
Guns are not the issue, the criminal with the gun is. Do they really believe that criminals would voluntarily turn in their guns? No, they would not. Whoever believes that they would is insane. Citizens who obeyed the law would turn their guns in and that would leave us defenseless against an armed criminal giving them the upper hand. Most Criminals illegally purchase guns and they will always find a way to get their hands on one and we need to have some form of protection for ourselves.
They should focus on the real problem, mental illness, and stop blaming it on the tool being used. Taking our rights away to have a gun will not stop a criminal. If a criminal wants to kill they will find a way to kill with or without a gun. “Guns don”t kill people, people kill people.”
