KELSEYVILLE >> The older cars get, the more charming they become. Their styles, shapes and quirks are embedded in memories, so it”s no wonder that antique and classic car shows draw thousands of devotees and first-timers each year.
Spend a leisurely day at Grace Harvest Car Show Saturday at Grace Church.
A pancake breakfast will be served starting at 8:30 a.m. (free-of-charge for show entrants) and live music will play off and on during the day. Food will be available for lunch. Awards will be given at 3 p.m.
Plaques will be given for classics, customs or street rods, rat rods and long distance. There will also be trophies given for Best Engine, Best Paint and a trophy given for Best of Show. Dash plaques will be given for the first 100 registered vehicles.
All pre-1984 cars are accepted as well as any year motorcycle and tractors. Entry forms are available at Kelseyville Lumber, Lakeport Family Fun Center, CPS Country Air Properties in the Riviera Shopping Center as well as downloadable from www.harvestcarshow.com.
The event is free-of-charge to the public. Stop in and check out the vintage vehicles and talk to the owners who are always glad to discuss the finer points of their projects, some have been in their families a lifetime while others have built them over months and years of hard work and dedication.
