LAKEPORT >> The University of California (UC) Master Gardeners of Lake County will host an introduction to aquaponics workshop on Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Agricultural Center.
Like hydroponics, aquaponics can be practiced in or outdoors and can produce a lot of food in a small space with minimal input aside from the initial purchase of supplies.
At the workshop, UC Master Gardeners of Lake County will provide instruction on the basics of setting up an aquaponic garden.
Pre-registration is required for the workshop as space is limited. A $5 materials fee is requested.
