
LAKEPORT >> Valerie Davidson of the Lake County Hunger Task Force accepted a check for $200 and more than 20 bags of non-perishable food items donated by the members of the Lakeport Women”s Civic Club at their regularly scheduled luncheon meeting on Oct. 3.
The Hunger Task Force operates six gardens around Lake County and collects donated food items in order to support the senior centers and food pantries in the county that provide meals and food to those in need.
The organization has 40 barrels stationed at various locations to collect donations and will host “Make a Difference Day” on Oct. 25th at Marymount California University.
