LAKEPORT >> The Lakeport Main Street Association (LMSA) invites businesses to participate in the store window decorating contest for Shipwreck Day on Saturday.
The winner of the contest will receive $500 worth of radio advertising from KXBX 98.3 and Bi-Coastal Media.
The storefront window judging will take place Thursday by volunteers from the Lake County Arts Council.
Businesses interested in participating in the contest should email LMSA at info@lakeportmainstreet.com or call 263-8843. All businesses must be registered by 5 p.m. Wednesday.
LMSA is also looking for businesses to participate in the Shipwreck Day costume contest by giving gilded coins to customers. Representatives of LMSA will walk the Main Street businesses on Friday to give store owners the opportunity to stock up on the gilded coins for Saturday”s Shipwreck Day.
On Wednesday, LMSA will deliver flags to businesses to place in front of their stores.
