ST. HELENA >> Emily Hayes scored with 15 minutes remaining, pulling the Clear Lake Cardinals even in a 1-1 tie with the St. Helena Saints during a North Central League I girls” soccer game on Tuesday afternoon in St. Helena.
St. Helena grabbed a 1-0 lead 15 minutes into the final half and that”s where the score remained until Hayes, with an assist from Hannah Norwood, tied it.
“If you had to pay admission to watch it, you got your money”s worth,” Clear Lake coach Paul Larrea said of a solid performance by both squads. “I thought it was a really well played game.”
Clear Lake is 6-3-2 in league with three games remaining and 12-5-3 overall.
