LAKE COUNTY >> The Lakeport Women”s Civic Club f(LWCC) has several activities for the month of November.
On Nov. 1 the club will sponsor its Craft Fair and Bake Sale at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature 20 vendors with handmade craft items, an hourly raffle of gift prizes, snack bar with chili, soup and beverages as well as the bake sale of homemade goodies.
Then, on Nov. 7 at its regularly scheduled meeting and luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Riviera Hills Country Club Restaurant, the club is hosting Harry Lyons, professor of biology and ecology of the Clear Lake Yuba College campus. Lyons is a speaker who combines his many talents in sharing important information about biology and ecology. He is also an accomplished jazz musician who has written a song about the biology of Clear Lake.
