Regarding the third district supervisorial race, the choice seems clear. In terms of qualifications, there is no comparison. Jim Steele has a 40 year background in biology and watershed management, consulting with state agencies, managing large government budgets, and overseeing statewide grants and programs. Mr. Brosnan”s one and only qualification mentioned in his recent campaign mailer is “his wealth of experience and personal understanding of the (medical marijuana) industry.” It doesn”t sound like he will bring much to the table. Saturating transportation corridors with campaign signs does not make the better candidate.
All I can say is it would be a shame if we miss this opportunity to fill Supervisor Rushing”s seat with someone with the skills and integrity of Jim Steele.
Get out and vote on November 4.
