My husband and I attended the forum for the two men (Jim Steele and John Brosnan) running for supervisor for District 3 in Lucerne on Tuesday, October 14th.
I have to say that I wasn”t impressed with the line of questions! Not much emphasis on questions about the lake.
Our main concern is the Lake. Jim Steele is so very knowledgeable about our lake and has an agenda to fix it! If measure S passes, he knows where to put the money to good use and get the ball rolling. If elected he will make incredible changes for us here in Lake County. If it doesn”t pass, he also has other resources.
John Brosnan admitted he really doesn”t know much about the lake or the ecosystem and various other matters that concern Lake County..
If Jim isn”t elected, where is the money going to go if measure S passes? There is not one person on that board of supervisors that would even know where to start! The reason I know this, is because they have done nothing so far.
Here we have a man (Jim Steele) that is willing to make a difference to our lake that he is already educated about the lake. That means we don”t have to waste money on study after study to actually figure out what the lake needs. Clear Lake is our lively hood here in Lake County. It is our diamond in the rough. Elect Jim and it will shine.
From what I saw at the forum was every questions Jim Steele was asked concerning our community, he had good solid answers. He has done his homework. He cares about his community.
John Brosnan shuffled around issues that he had no knowledge of, he hasn”t done his homework. I will say John knows a lot about cannabis! As for the cannabis measures O and P, they will pass on their own, I don”t think we need John as a supervisor to push for the cannabis measures. Cannabis will take care of its self.
More questions were asked and answered in so many different variations about cannabis. It sounded like a trial lawyer rewording the same questions so that he could try and get a different answer. More than a half hour was spent asking basically the same questions about cannabis.
In my opinion the real issue is our lake. This is our livelihood! Jim will make a difference on many issues concerning residents of this county.
