LAKEPORT >> The Clear Lake Trowel & Trellis Garden Club will host the seventh annual chrysanthemum show at the Lakeport Yacht Club on Nov. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The show is free-of charge and will feature the art of arranging chrysanthemums, of which there are 160 species and hundreds of hybridized cultivars.
Garden club members, using the theme “Mums on Parade,” will show different arrangement styles using containers and accessories to enhance their art form. A myriad of chrysanthemum specimens will be shown. Refreshments will be served during the show.
The garden club also invites the public to attend its meeting held the third Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at noon in the Scotts Valley Woman”s clubhouse, located at 2298 Hendricks Road in Lakeport.
