By chance or design, by mismanagement, misjudgment or ill will, I think you”d find good company in those who”d conclude that this nation has been afflicted. In medicine they call an illness whose exact cause is unknown idiopathic but regardless of the cause and there are more arguments than solutions, the powers that be have unleashed a pandemic that The Center for Disease Control cannot identify and for which there is no known cure, magic pill to keep it from spreading or inoculation to protect you.

It”s purposeless to engage in finger pointing when there is not the luxury of time for such meaningless exercises as blame game. All that matters is we”re sick and running a temperature and it”s rising and with no one to call, we go to the internet as directed and look in the section marked frequently asked questions for help and here amongst the bulletin boards we find similarly frustrated people and turn to each other for consolation in the ranks of the disenfranchised.

Some time ago those who planned cunningly dug this ditch and drove us to the edge with nowhere to go but in it. Twisted power crazed insatiable ticks found blood and latched on.

They took the sky. They took the seed. They took the culture. They took the children. They took the future.

Take a lesson from a species of waterfowl you may not have heard of or from. It”s called the Mute Swan and it”s not native to North America. They were brought here from Europe in the late 1800s to adorn city parks and large estates. They were named mute for being less vocal than other swan species, especially when compared to trumpeter swans. They don”t make much noise unless you aggravate them and then, look out.

You don”t want to make a mute swan mad and you better not think you can bully them and get away with it. If you threaten their territory, they”ll first give off a loud hissing sound to warn you. If that doesn”t work, they”ll beat their wings and attack. They”ve been known to smash predators in defense of their nests with the sharp bony spurs in their wings and if pressed, can exert force enough to break a man”s leg.

Let the congress and senate know that the taking is over and that they work for you. Not the other way around. When we grow mute, the only voice we hear is theirs.

Be heard!
