LAKEPORT >> With the flat track season winding down at Ukiah Speedway and Lakeport Speedway, racing promoter David Furia decided he could not wait for better weather to continue bringing racing to Lake and Mendocino counties. Teaming up with Dixon Speedway, Furia”s dreams of an extended racing season came true recently.

As the pits at Ukiah Speedway were filled to over capacity, the cars” smaller cousins were flying around the indoor track at Lakeport Speedway.

“Racing is in my family”s blood, and so is giving back to the community that has given us so much.” Furia stated. “We are so pleased that together with Dixon Speedway, we can keep the racing action going throughout the winter and we hope to see families enjoying the fast paced action at Lakeport Indoor Kart Racing.”

The Lakeport Indoor Kart Racing season will run November through March, with the next event taking place Saturday. The schedule and tickets can be found at lakeportindoorkarts.com.

For information, call Furia at 799-3044.

The Lakeport Speedway is located at 401 Martin St. in Lakeport.
