From Tim Snider”s comments about fulfilled prophecy in the Oct. 7 Record-Bee, it is clear that he wants us to believe that the New Testament authors simply made everything fit the Old Testament prophecies. This notion is negated by a Bible prophecy that was fulfilled in 1798 involving Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and the French general Berthier. This 1798 prediction is just one of many Bible predictions that have been fulfilled in the last 500 years.
It is worth noting that God has used prophets even in recent times. An example is William Ellis Foy, who lived during the 1800s. During this same period there was another individual that God attempted to use, named Hazen Foss, but he was unwilling. There is a lot more to this and when people do the research they will see how it all fits together, but more importantly how it actually is relevant to their own lives. Those who honestly desire to know the truth and do the research won”t be disappointed.
