LAKE COUNTY >> Operation Christmas Child, a charity drive to provide toys, clothing, hygiene products and school supplies to needy children around the world, is accepting donations at several locations locally until Nov. 24.
To donate, one simply fills a shoebox, or some similarly sized container, with items suitable for either a boy or girl in age ranges from infant to teenager. Specify on the box what group the box is intended for and drop the box off at a drop location. If you don”t have a box available, they can be picked up from those drop locations. Organizers also request donations of $7 to help with shipping costs.
Boxes can be dropped off at Lucerne Community Church located at 5870 E. Hwy 20 in Lucerne, Evangel Christian Center/Zemorah Christian Academy located at 5667 Hwy 29 in Lower Lake and First Presbyterian Church located at 514 W. Church St. in Ukiah.
