I”m writing this letter in response to the letter that was put out by Robert and Janet Swedberg on 11-18-14.
First the Swedbergs want us to believe that taxes in all forms are good. We rebelled against England (or Anglo-Saxon/ Roman empire) because of taxes,
Did they ever hear of the Boston tea party?
They need to ask themselves one question, have any taxes or laws that have been past made them better, more productive, wealthier people? Taxes in general are just legalized extortion.
If the Swedbergs are not willing to go to their neighbor”s house and rob them themselves, then they shouldn”t feel OK about voting for a corrupt politician to rob their neighbors for them.
Getting back to their comments about the Romans. The Roman empire was the most destructive, murderous, enslaving regime that has ever been.
They did not tax their people, all Romans were slaves to Caesar and if they decided not to be slaves they were butchered, just like the millions of other people and cultures that were destroyed by the Romans.
Now lets get back to the fraudulent measure S.
This measure was nothing but a revenue generation scam, just like measure L. If the Swedbergs had actually read the entire measure, they would have known that nothing in the measure addressed the quality of the lake at all. It only wanted more inspections, more bloated overpaid county employees and, as Mr. Farrington stated at the save the lake meeting at the Soper Reese theatre, maybe some automated ramp gates. Not one plan or idea to get the bacteria under control. And I will tell you why.
We have another problem here in the L.C. called Hydrillia. The B.O.S. and special districts approved the use of two chemicals to try to control and kill this invasive weed that was introduced to the lake in 1994. But the major problem with one chemical is that it lowers oxygen levels which is the number one contributor to the bloom of cyno algea.
It”s time to take this county back from the land destroying, water destroying, powers that be and the uniformed people that support them. For too long the voters in this county vote according to what the biggest signs say and what they are being fed by the same people who are writing the measures to steal their money say.
Please take time to read the measures in their entirety and research the claims that are made by the people who stand to profit from the measures, because when it comes to money, unfortunately people will do and say anything to get the money they want.
