Konocti Unified School District will host an orientation and recruitment meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 3 for individuals interested in becoming substitute teachers. The event, scheduled from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., will be held in the McClung board room at the Konocti Unified District Office building located at 9430 Lake Street in Lower Lake.
Individuals who possess a bachelor”s degree may be eligible to obtain a substitute teaching credential. Substitute teaching provides for a flexible work schedule and can be a great way for those considering a career in education to get real experience and establish positive relationships with prospective school employers.
Konocti Unified School District”s current daily rate for substitute teachers is $105. The orientation and recruitment meeting on Dec. 3 will provide application forms, review credentialing requirements, share online resources, offer tips to be a successful substitute teacher and include a question and answer session.
