LOWER LAKE >> As it has done for the past 25 years, the Anderson Marsh Interpretive Association (AMIA) will present an old-fashioned Victorian “Christmas at the Ranch” at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park on Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The open house event is free-of-charge to the public.
AMIA board members and volunteers will be available to answer questions about the Ranch House and how Christmas was celebrated in Victorian days. Coffee, hot cider, tea, cookies and other refreshments will be served.
The Christmas tree set up in the Ranch House parlor will have Victorian-style decorations hand-made by school children, who will visit the Ranch House earlier that week to decorate the tree. Santa Claus will be present at the event for visiting children of all ages.
Singing along is encouraged as musicians volunteer their time, performing Christmas carols throughout the day.
For more information about the event, contact AMIA at info@andersonmarsh.org or call 995-2658
The park is located at 8420-8600 Highway 53 in Lower Lake.
